About Me

Hi ! I am Casey.

A little bit about me: I am originally from Ohio and but I’ve blessed to call Austin my home for over 13 years.

Before I entered into private practice I was a School Counselor (9 years as a Middle School Counselor and 1 year as a High School Counselor).  I worked in college as an Academic Advisor for Exploratory students while in Graduate School.

I have a strong passion for working with adolescents, adults and new moms. Through my practice and own experience, I want to give adolescents & adults  a safe place to talk, process things they are going through, and be a person that they can rely on and trust to explore their feelings & emotions. I also want to help expecting parents and their support person with this huge life transition from understanding the 4th & 5th trimester, to postpartum planning, to infertility struggles, to offering support in times of need throughout the whole perinatal journey.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART):

Happy to Announce, I am now a MASTER ART Certified Therapist.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy is an eye-movement technique that is evidence-based for the treatment of trauma other mental health concerns.  There is a significant body of evidence supporting the finding that inducing rapid eye movement while awake helps the brain process and resolve psychological issues.  Accelerated Resolution Therapy is designed for a therapist to guide you through processing specific scenes or events from the past that may still be troubling you.

In ART, we say "keep the knowledge, lose the pain" because you will still know the facts of what happened to you, but the associated painful emotions will no longer be present.

So far, studies are indicating that clients will feel relief from their symptoms within 1 to 5 ART sessions.
